Encryption passwords 'must know'

We launched version 7 of our software in March 2017. This is based on Ahsay's OBM \ ACB products.

In version 7, the system will generate a random password when a backup job is created if you don't select a custom password. You can still set your preferred encryption password when you create new backup jobs.

**Please note** We are unable to recover an encryption password for you if your system fails.
The encryption password can never be changed.
You will need to store all backup job encryption passwords when you create a backup.
We also recommend a test restore using the encryption password before you convert your trial to a contract.

We have made 2 videos showing how to set your own custom encryption password and how to view a system random generated encryption password.

In both of the following videos, there is a second logon box which shows the user account page (account name is 'Administrator').
This is where you enter the password of the logged in user and not the encryption password. This is so the software can access your files.
In our example we used the account name 'Administrator', but your system will show your logged-in user name.
The encryption password is only used during restores.

How to change the encryption password when you create a new backup.
The following video shows how to enter your chosen password and how to check it.
This encryption password is only visible whilst your system is working. It will NOT be available in a disaster recovery solution and must be recorded offline elsewhere.
